How long should I wear Zimba whitening strips?

Our whitening strips have been designed to whiten your teeth quickly in just 30 minutes, but they can be left on for up to 60 minutes if desired. The real question is what you do after whitening strips!

How long do these whitening effects last?

Zimba whitening strips come with 28 strips (14-day treatment.) The length of time that your teeth will stay this white depends on certain habits such as drinking coffee or wine. Our whitening results have been observed to last for 6+ months. We recommend completing multiple treatments per year to keep your teeth at the shade that you desire!

Do your products cause tooth sensitivity?

We've formulated our products with tooth sensitivity in mind! We created a reduced-sensitivity formula to ensure for a comfortable whitening experience! However, in the unlikely case that you do experience sensitivity, our Cool Blue Desensitizing Pen eliminates the discomfort associated with sensitivity!

What causes tooth sensitivity? Is it harmful?

Tooth sensitivity occurs when the tooth becomes partially dehydrated. This will trigger the nerves in your teeth, which is what is known as tooth sensitivity. Your teeth will naturally rehydrate themselves and tooth sensitivity will go away. No! Tooth sensitivity is not harmful and it is not permanent, however, it can be unpleasant! If you do feel any tooth sensitivity while using Zimba Products, please pause your treatment and contact us for further instructions.

Is Zimba safe?

Absolutely! We have conducted independent clinical studies to show Zimba Products are both safe to use and effective on whitening your teeth! Our formulas are 100% safe on enamel and extra gentle on your gums!

Should I brush my teeth before using?

We recommend to wait until after you whiten your teeth to brush them! The reason for this is that brushing can naturally cause gum irritation, as the bristles brush up against your gum tissue. When you apply a whitening product on top of your gums when they're already irritated, this can cause further discomfort. To make sure that you are as comfortable as possible, wait to brush your teeth once complete with your daily treatment!

What causes teeth to stain?

Tooth staining occurs naturally as you age! However, certain dietary habits can make your teeth appear more stained. This includes coffee, wine, tobacco, tea, soda, and any dark-pigmented foods such as berries. These types of staining can be easily removed by Zimba Whitening Products.

How often can I use this?

We recommend completing one full 2-week treatment consecutively, doing one treatment per day. After completing your initial 2-week treatment, it is important to give your teeth some time to rest and rehydrate before completing another treatment. We recommend waiting at least 4 weeks before completing another 2-week treatment. Completing multiple treatments per year will keep your teeth at the bright, white shade that you desire!

Do these work on fillings, bondings, crowns, or veneers?

Zimba Whitening Products work best on your natural teeth. Those with partial bonding or fillings may experience some whitening effects, however, the results may not be as drastic as they will be on your natural teeth. Zimba Whitening Products will not whiten veneers.

Can I whiten if I have plaque or tartar?

If your teeth have plaque or tartar build-up, it will be difficult to whiten the deep stains in your teeth. It is recommended to use a whitening toothpaste or have a dental professional remove the plaque and tartar before using our whitening kits. Zimba Whitening Powder also works well to remove plaque, tartar, and the stains that build up on top. Once plaque and tartar has been removed, you'll be ready to whiten the deep stains! Consider using our teeth whitening kits to cover all your bases.

Are your products vegan?

Yes! All of our products are vegan. The glycerin used in our products is derived from vegetables. Our products are also Non-GMO!

Are your products tested on animals?

Zimba is 100% cruelty-free! We do not test our products on animals!

Will Zimba whiten stains caused by medication?

If your teeth have become stain or discolored due to medication, such as Tetracycline, our whitening products will unfortunately not whiten your teeth. The reason for this is that this type of staining is caused by a chemical change by the medicine. These color molecules cannot be completely eliminated from your teeth.

Will Zimba whiten fluorosis stains?

Our products will help blend the appearance of fluorosis staining to match your natural teeth color. Whitening dental fluorosis staining can initially cause the white spotting to appear more evident, but over time fluorosis stains can become less noticeable. Mild cases of fluorosis will benefit most from using Zimba Whitening Products.

What type of results can I expect?

We guarantee that your smile will become at least 2 shades whiter after completing one full whitening treatment. However, individual results will vary as everyone's teeth are different. It is best to complete a full 2-week whitening treatment to ensure long-lasting results!

Where should I store my products?

It is recommend to keep your Zimba Products in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

What's the best time to whiten?

We recommend doing your whitening treatments at night, if possible! The reason for this is because after you whiten your teeth, the pores in your teeth are opened larger than normal. This means that your teeth are easiest to re-stain within the first hour after your whitening treatment. If you were to eat or drink anything within the first hour after whitening, you could reduce the whitening effects! By whitening at night, you're able to go to sleep after without having to worry about consuming something that could cause staining!

Can I wear whitening strips overnight?

No, you should only use our whitening strips for the recommended usage time, longer wear time may increased sensitivity.
